Claire joined the firm in 2010 when Bowmans Family Law solicitors merged with the Family Team at Ison harrison solicitors.
Claire is originally from Northern Ireland and moved to Leeds in 2002. Since qualifying as a solicitor in July 2004 she has practiced Family Law exclusively and deals primarily with cases that involve child protection issues. Since October 2008 Claire has been a member of the Solicitors Regulatory Authority Children Panel which means she specialises in representing children and adults in care proceedings. Currently Claire is one of the youngest Children Panel solicitors in Leeds.
Claire is dedicated to providing excellent representation for children, parents, grandparents and other family members in the following situations:
- care proceedings
- placement applications
- applications to a child(ren) in care
- applications to discharge care orders
- secure accommodation applications
Claire represents children through their Children’s Guardian as well as children directly when separate representation is necessary. When required Claire represents adults through the Official Solicitor. Claire will represent you if you have been invited to intervene in care proceedings. She regularly advises and assists in relation to Child Protection Conferences and Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings and other Social Care queries.
Claire also deals with contact and residence disputes, applications for prohibited steps and specific issue orders. She can also advise on adoption.
Claire will listen, provide clear advice on the way forward and identify the optimum solution to your legal problem. Claire will also represent you at Court hearings.
