Following an early legal spell with Slaughter and May, Stephen returned to his home city of Leeds determined to set up in business on his own. He opened his business, with a mix of private and commercial work in 1978.
From the outset he realised that if his business was to grow he needed to start employing people fairly quickly…he has never looked back and today the firm employs almost 200 people and Stephen has gone on to become a well-known and highly respected personality throughout Yorkshire.
In 2008 Stephen celebrated 30 years in practice. His drive continues to contribute to the firm’s development as much as it did when the firm was first established.
