Partnership & Expense Share Agreements

If you run a dental practice with another principal a written partnership or expense sharing agreement is essential to avoid dispute and promote certainty. In simple terms the costs incurred in having such an agreement prepared will save thousands of pounds should a dispute arise in the future.

Many dental practices have expense share agreements in place rather than a partnership agreement as many principals like to keep their own fees. Legally, unless the principals separate ALL forms of income the arrangement is still likely to be governed by partnership law but the expense sharing nature of the agreement is a closer fit for a lot of practices.
