Advice on Revocation & Investigation Proceedings

The Public Carriage Office (the “PCO”) and local authorities have the power to suspend, revoke or refuse to renew private hire licenses and hackney carriage licenses.

Under these powers, it is possible that you may be subject to investigation proceedings if the PCO or local authorities believe that your suitability for holding a private hire license or a hackney carriage license may be questioned.

If you are currently being investigated by the local authority it is imperative that you seek legal advice as soon as you possibly can. If the investigation leads to further action it is likely that the local authority will impose restrictions upon, or revoke your license.

Our team of specialist regulatory lawyers will be able to review your case and provide you with advise specific to your circumstances.

The council often instruct solicitors and barristers and it is advisable that you seek legal representation to ensure that you are on an even keel and to ensure the best possible outcome.
