· R v W (Fraud) – Utilising complex legal arguments to challenge the Prosecution’s assessment of benefit, Leah secured a reduction of the Benefit Figure from £32 million to £2.1 million.
· R v T (Environment Agency Prosecution) – Leah reduced the alleged benefit figure from the Prosecution’s original figure of £19 million, to £270,000, owing to a sophisticated Corporate Veil legal argument. This case also involved properties valued at over £4 million, held by a corporate entity, which Leah successfully removed from the Available Amount.
· R v L (Drugs Conspiracy) – The Prosecution’s Benefit Figure in this case amounted to over £7.7 million: the Particular Criminal Conduct figure was asserted to be £7.2 million with the Assumptions totalling £500,000. · R v C (Drugs Conspiracy) – The Prosecution’s argued benefit in this case was £420,000, which Leah was able to successfully reduce to just £500.
· R v H (Drugs Conspiracy) – Although this Lifestyle case included a small Particular Criminal Conduct benefit totalling just £2,000, the General Criminal Conduct figure amounted to over £560,000. Through detailed evidential work, Leah was able to challenge the Assumptions and reduced the final Confiscation Order to £150,000.
· R v L (Drugs Conspiracy) – Leah advanced a legal argument relating to this client’s role within a conspiracy, successfully reducing the Benefit Figure from £1.3 million (of which £1.29 million was Particular Criminal Conduct) to just £18,000.
