This month sees the start of another new chapter in the Ison Harrison regional branch success story, as we open a new branch in the traditional market town of Otley. This builds on the hugely successful launches of the Pudsey and Huddersfield branches in 2017, and takes the total number of offices to 12. Given our strong position in Leeds and surrounding areas of West Yorkshire including Guiseley and Ilkley, it was a natural move to form another base in Otley.

In the case of Otley, the decision to form a permanent base in the thriving town follows the success of the free legal clinic we have been running in the Courthouse every Friday. Our aim is always to be a trusted and dedicated legal resource within a busy community, and our location in Otley is ideal for this. You can find us at 17 Market Street, in the heart of the bustling town centre.
Otley is full of history but is still evolving. The town was an important part of the textile industry in the 19th century’s industrial revolution and its proximity to both Bradford and Leeds – sitting 10 miles equidistant of both- means it is a popular commuter hub that has retained tourist appeal.
The streets surrounding our new office offer a burgeoning mix of independent shops, cafes and well known high street chains. The bar and restaurant scene is also developing rapidly, with some of the most contemporary Leeds brands (such as North Bar and the Stew & Oyster Bar) opening up just around the corner from the new branch.
Providing Otley with dedicated legal experts
Heading up the new office will be Nigel Cowley, a property law specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. Nigel was integral to the growth of our commercial property department before helping to set up our Ilkley and Guiseley offices. A well-respected figure in legal circles, he will be a real asset to the new Otley branch.
In the Otley office we will have dedicated experts offering advice on core legal issues such as conveyancing, family law and wills and probate. The office will also offer access to specialist expertise in all areas of law, from regulatory law to company and commercial.
