About Katrina Stapleton

I joined the Clinical Negligence team at Ison Harrison in  2017 and I have worked in Clinical Negligence since 2011.

The litigation process can be very daunting, we help clients when they are particularly vulnerable having experienced medical negligence which has impacted one or more areas of their life. I assist the Solicitors in the team and work on a wide verity of cases from pressure sores to birth injuries. No one case is the same and our team is dedicated to  achieving the best possible outcome for our clients, whilst remaining compassionate and supportive throughout. I enjoy helping our clients understand what has happened to them and supporting them at what can be one of the most difficult times of their life.

I have had the pleasure of working for some wonderful families and I’m always grateful when they keep in touch after the case has settled. It gives me great satisfaction to see the positive changes the compensation has made to their lives. Whilst compensation cannot make up for the damage caused, I have seen it enable clients to access treatment and make their homes accessible again with adaptions. It allows them to have a better quality of life and regain some independence.

Within my role I also have the pleasure of working with some fantastic charities, namely the Little Hiccups and Erb’s Palsy Group. The people who run these groups are a great source of inspiration to me, they overcome adversity and work tirelessly in support of their members. They do all of this whilst running homes, caring for families and pets, working and dealing with everything else life throws at them. They really are super heroes and I’m grateful to be able to support them in any way I can.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going for long walks in nature and I’m never too far away from a good book!
