Ison Harrison are delighted to share the news that Robert Camp, our independent trustee, is a ‘Trustee of the Year’ finalist at the 2026 UK Employee Ownership Awards. With a presence from the beginning, Robert took up their role as independent trustee when Ison Harrison converted to employee ownership in 2022.
A qualified solicitor with extensive experience in the legal sector, Robert has overseen transitions to employee ownership models for Ison Harrison and during his time as the Managing Partner of a South West law firm.
The UK Employee Ownership Awards provide recognition to businesses and individuals who drive effective employee ownership (EO) practices, and empower employee owners to unlock significant EO impacts. The awards are hosted by the Employee Ownership Association and sponsored by Howden.

The Ison Harrison Evolution to Employee Ownership
Since making the decision to become an employee-owned business, Ison Harrison operates as a 100% Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), with all shares held on behalf of employees by the Ison Harrison Employee Ownership Trust. All colleagues who have completed at least twelve months of service automatically become beneficiaries, ensuring that every eligible employee has a direct stake in the long‑term success of the firm.
Day‑to‑day management remains the responsibility of the Ison Harrison Board of Directors, who are accountable to a Board of Trustees. The Trustee Board is structured to provide balanced oversight and representation, consisting of two founding trustees, one director from the board, two employee‑elected representatives, and one independent trustee – a position currently held by Robert Camp.
