A new litigation Partner, John Burnett, has joined our Huddersfield branch.
John’s appointment is the first time we have recruited a member of staff at Partner level to join one of our outer branches, which highlights John’s level of experience and seniority at the firm.
John previously worked at Schofield Sweeney solicitors and has been a qualified solicitor for over 20 years. He has specialist experience in representing businesses who retail high end products to consumers as well as dealing with contentious probate, partnership disputes and complex litigation matters.
On joining Ison Harrison, John commented “I’m really excited to be a part of the growing Huddersfield team and bring over 20 years litigation experience to the branch. I have worked in both civil and commercial litigation and I seek to uphold my client’s legal rights, obtaining a good outcome at a fair cost.”
The Huddersfield branch is now one of our most successful outer branches and boasts a team of 9 offering expert family law, conveyancing and wills and probate advice. The addition of an experienced Litigation partner allows us to offer a broader service from our Huddersfield base. Our existing Litigation team is based at our head office in Leeds, headed up by Jonathan Robson.
Since its opening early last year, the Huddersfield branch has gone from strength to strength and John’s appointment only serves to strengthen our existing proposition. We have recently expanded the Huddersfield office too and now occupy both the ground and top floors at Lion Chambers on John William Street, conveniently situated just nearby the train station.
James Smith, branch manager of Ison Harrison Huddersfield, commented “John will be a fantastic and much-needed addition to our branch so that we can continue to offer a wide range of legal services in the heart of Huddersfield, following on from a very successful first 12 months of our branch being open.”
