The Solicitors’ Regulation Authority has this week closed a personal injury firm in Manchester, quoting suspicions of dishonesty relating to its Managing Partner. The firm, Dennison Greer, specialised in personal injury matters.
The SRA’s panel took the decision on the basis that it was satisfied that there was a reason to suspect dishonesty on the part of Jayne Louise Greer, and that she had failed to comply with the SRA’s principles and accounts rules.
The SRA have not elaborated as to the details of the intervention but their actions mean that the firm is shut down with immediate effect. An intervention notice relating to Jayne Greer herself has also been issued.
