Following the recent announcement of our new Cycle September campaign, we are pleased to confirm our launch event which will be an epic 127-mile cycle race to support local charity, Little Hiccups.

Our clinical negligence solicitor and new Barnsley branch manager, Anne Robertson, is taking on this cycle challenge on 30th – 31st August which involves a 127-mile sponsored bike ride along the entire length of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Anne has volunteered to take on the challenge on behalf of Ison Harrison as we aim to raise as much money as we can for Leeds based support group, Little Hiccups.

Anne will set off from Liverpool on the morning of 30 August 2019 and ride 70 miles to Burnley where she will stay overnight. On 31 August, Anne will be hopefully rested and refreshed ready to cycle the remaining 50 miles to Leeds, meeting friends and family at the finish line. The race will also see supporters of Little Hiccups taking part and raising money for the charity.

We are incredibly proud of Anne taking on this challenge and will support her all the way!

Following on from Anne’s challenge, ‘Cycle September’ will officially launch with the intention of raising further funds for Little Hiccups. On 1st September, the newly launched Ison Harrison Fund will donate £1 for every mile cycled by Ison Harrison staff throughout the month. We will be encouraging our 19 branches to get their bikes out and help raise money for Little Hiccups through this initiative.

At the end of September, we will tally up the miles cycled and make the donation to Little Hiccups including the money raised from Anne’s challenge.

About Little Hiccups

Little Hiccups is a Leeds-based support group for families who have a child with disabilities or special needs. Our Head of Clinical Negligence, James Thompson, has formed close links with Little Hiccups over recent years and is a Trustee of the charity. As Little Hiccups celebrates 10 years of supporting children and families with additional needs, they have pledged to try to raise £10,000.00 per month during 2019.

Staff at Ison Harrison have been working with friends and committee members of Little Hiccups to arrange the cycle route, support team, sponsorship, websites and insurance.  It’s been quite a lot of work!  However, as Linsay, Little Hiccups founder says:

“Life is a journey and this path we walk certainly isn’t an easy one, however it is very rewarding and we consider ourselves blessed to be part of these special children’s lives and to help make a difference.”

We are delighted that we can play a part in recognising the journey the parents and children make and hope to help make a difference.
