Simon Helliwell in our personal injury department has negotiated settlement with the Motor Insurers Bureau for £1.5 million pursuant to the untraced driver’s agreement.
The case related to a client who was riding an uninsured trials bike on a road. He was hit by a stolen vehicle, the driver of which was never identified.
My client suffered a partial below knee amputation.
Towards the end of the case the Motor Insurers Bureau were only prepared to offer £850,000.00 but as a result of Mr Helliwell’s negotiating skills the case settled for £1.5 million.
Mr Helliwell will say:
