We have some very exciting news! Ison Harrison will be opening an office in Huddersfield on 30th January 2017.
Having originated in Leeds city centre over thirty-five years ago, Ison Harrison has grown through a series of mergers, change and adaptation to become one of the top twenty law firms in Yorkshire and with a national reputation for quality. Our current network of ten branches has seen us grow increasingly influential in the Leeds area, and while we have a big presence in the city centre, we have always understood the need to reach out to the people and make accessibility as easy as possible for our core customers. That is why we are keen to branch out as far as we can, and early 2017 will see us spread our wings even further into Huddersfield.
Ison Harrison prides itself on providing a friendly and local service, discarding the preconceptions people might feel about the legal sector and ensuring that we mix with local people, understand their environment and needs and build a reputation as a readily-available service.
This is why it is important that we reach out to new areas, and Huddersfield has always been in our thoughts. We think it is important that people have easy access to legal advice as and when they need it, and while Leeds is a big city with great access routes, we don’t see why everyone should come to us when we can come to you.
Huddersfield is a vibrant town with a proud and friendly population, and we are excited about how our brand new branch will fit in and build a healthy relationship with the people. Situated on John William Street literally a few yards from the train station, our new branch couldn’t be more central to the community, and it was important to us that we had a prominent and accessible location because people need easy access to the help we can provide.
From January 2017 our new branch will open under the guidance of three energetic and enthusiastic staff from our Leeds city centre offices. There will be a key focus on conveyancing but our service will provide access to important, expert resources across the legal sector, including our most popular services of family law and wills and probate.
Heading up the Huddersfield solicitors team will be James Smith, who is a residential and commercial property expert. He will be joined by Lorianne Joseph, a residential conveyancing executive and Lewis Holroyd, a trainee solicitor in our residential property team, who is very much returning to his roots. Lewis has big ties in Huddersfield having been born there and also having completed a Master of Law and Practice degree at Huddersfield University.
Our decision to focus on conveyancing services in Huddersfield was born from the area’s recent growth as an emerging property hotspot. Rising house prices saw the town placed ninth in the top ten best property towns and cities in the country in 2015. The average house price in Huddersfield now stands at nearly £160,000 and the first time buyer market is thriving. With the property market so prosperous in the neighbouring cities of Leeds and Bradford it was natural that Huddersfield would feel that effect also, and it is important that Ison Harrison is at the heart of the matter.
With expert legal advice at hand across all aspects of the law, Ison Harrison can’t wait to serve the people of Huddersfield and become a friendly, trusted and integral part of another Yorkshire community.
