Today we’re chatting to Faye Chadwick, solicitor and branch manager at our Wakefield office.
Faye specialises in new build conveyancing.
Q: How long have you worked for Ison Harrison?
I joined the firm in August 2020, mid-pandemic!
Q: Where did you work previously?
I previously worked at Beaumont Legal where I undertook my Training Contract and qualified as a Solicitor.
Q: What’s the useful piece of advice you have been given in your career?
I think the best advice I have been given is to always be organised and remain diligent.
Q: What do you like doing in your spare time?
I like travelling, whether this is here in the UK or anywhere around the World.
Q: Can you tell us any interesting or little-known facts about you?
I have played competitive football from the age of 7. I have represented West Riding County and I played for Huddersfield Town Ladies football club for many years. I suffered a serious knee injury at the age of 26 and had to undergo two operations. Unfortunately after this, I had to retire.
Q: If you weren’t a conveyancer what would you be doing?
Before changing my university course to Law, I was very interested in becoming a sports physiotherapist.
Q: How would your friend’s describe you?
I think they would describe me as hardworking, caring and driven.
Q: You’re branch manager at Ison Harrison’s Wakefield office. Do you have any personal connections to Wakefield?
I live in Ossett so Wakefield is my closest City. I will often be in and around the Wakefield area walking my two dachshunds at either Newmillerdam, Notton Woods or Haw Park Woods.
Q: How have things been since opening the new Wakefield branch?
Great! We work with a lot of clients in the Wakefield area so it is ideal that we now have an office where our clients can come in and meet with us face to face and ask questions. We are a modern law firm that strive to give a more personal service rather than an automated one.
Q: What does Ison Harrison being 100% employee-owned mean to you?
It means that we as employees have a say over the direction of the firm which is very important to me as we all have a vested interest in the firm’s success. It also secures the future of the firm and its employees, incentivising all the employees to drive the firm forwards.
