Ison Harrison has been shortlisted for the Legal Firm of the Year: Medium award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2021, after also being nominated for the top award in 2019.
The Yorkshire Legal Awards bring together the very best of the region’s legal community and celebrate the many achievements of the past 12 months, so it is a great honour and privilege to be recognised in this way, and particularly for a second time.
The Yorkshire Legal Awards
Created in 2000, the Yorkshire Legal Awards have grown to become a key date in the region’s legal calendar, and as well as networking, socialising and celebrating the past 12 months, they recognise outstanding talent in the Yorkshire region, not least within the Ison Harrison family.
A range of awards presented on the night cover large corporate legal firms as well as small partnerships and individual barristers. The event also recognises achievements of legal professionals with great experience, as well as those rising stars who may have only recently qualified.
Given that the awards panel is made up of distinguished legal peers from across the Yorkshire region, we are extremely proud to be shortlisted for the Legal Firm of the Year: Medium prize. Our shortlisting for this category is a reflection of the exceptional work our employees have done throughout the pandemic, to assist our clients with their variety of legal needs.
And as a result, Ison Harrison will be well represented at the Black Tie awards night on October 7th 2021 at the New Dock Hall in Leeds. We have a table of eight people attending the event, which will include senior partners and heads of our specialist legal teams such as James Thompson, Jonathan Wearing and Richard Coulthard.
Recognition after a challenging 18 months
We are very much looking forward to this event and, win or lose, will take great pride and confidence from being recognised as amongst the best of our peers in the region, and amongst such stiff competition. Of course, this comes at the end of a challenging 18 months due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which has meant our firm, and many others, have had to adapt to industry changes such as offering online consultations and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff and clients at our 17 local branches.
To be recognised by the Yorkshire Legal Awards at the end of this period has given everyone at Ison Harrison a welcome and timely boost, and the awards event in itself will provide an occasion to draw a line under this period and move forward with great positivity. Keep an eye on our social channels on the night for live updates of the event!
