For our Christmas Party this year, the team headed to the Leeds Marriott Hotel for a night of festive food and dancing.
We booked a high energy party band called Scream to fill the night with some great dance tunes and they didn’t disappoint. A special mention goes out to Gareth Naylor who had some rather questionable dance moves, but the whole team really seemed to get into the spirit and enjoy the night. In fact, there was one person that showed everyone how it was done – Jamie Maddocks was up dancing for most of the night! A particular highlight was when Scream played ‘Valerie’, and most members of the team started singing along (although not all were in tune…)
110 members of staff tucked into the festive culinary treats prepared by the hotel, and it really was delicious. The menu we were treated to was:
Roasted root vegetable and parsley cream soup
Pressed duck and ham terrine with spiced fig and apple chutney
Roast chicken breast, apricot and sage stuffing and roast jus
Marinated salmon in grain mustard and turmeric with creole spiced sauce
Baked aubergine stuffed with pearl barley, leek and blue cheese, broccoli and almond pesto
Chocolate and black cherry delice, mulled winter berries
Orange and cranberry sticky pudding and toffee sauce
Of course, no Christmas Party night is complete without someone getting a little ‘too much’ into the Xmas spir

Thanks again to the Leeds Marriott Hotel for hosting the event, it was a Christmas party to remember and dubbed the “best yet” by many of our team. Here’s to next year!
