Leading Yorkshire law firm, Ison Harrison, has been recognised nationally at the UK Employee-Owned Business of the Year Awards 2025.
The firm was highly commended at the UK Employee Ownership Awards, held last night at the Telford International Centre. The awards ceremony is the highlight of the Employee Ownership Association (EOA) Annual Conference and celebrates the sector’s most outstanding businesses.

The national commendation marks a significant milestone for Ison Harrison, which in 2022 made the pioneering move to become one of the UK’s first large law firms to become 100% employee-owned. This forward-thinking structure has been a catalyst for dynamic growth, fuelling substantial client expansion and the addition of new offices to its regional network.
Ison Harrison was commended by the judges for its exceptional all-round performance between July 2024 and July 2025, praising it for its clear evidence of how an employee-ownership culture drives innovation, performance, and long-term sustainability.
With a regional headcount now exceeding 400, Ison Harrison has solidified its position as a legal powerhouse with 24 offices across Yorkshire. The firm’s turnover is expected to exceed £34 million for 2025, bolstered by its successful employee-led strategy and the acquisition of Savage Crangle Solicitors.
Building on its success, the firm launched a dedicated employee ownership advisory service in 2024. Leveraging its own first-hand experience, the specialist team now guides other business owners through the complexities of transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model.
