The countdown to Christmas is on, and we are taking the opportunity of our landmark 40th anniversary celebrations to join in the festive fun!
In partnership with Leeds City Council, Ison Harrison has invested in a key sponsorship of the city’s annual Christmas celebrations, including the prestigious Christmas Lights switch-on and the extremely popular Christkindelmarkt in Millennium Square. The festive spirit carries much further than the city centre and we will also be sponsoring activities out in the suburbs too.
#LeedsChristmas Lights Switch On – Thursday 8th November
The Christmas Lights switch-on in Leeds is always a high-profile affair and this year is no different. Leeds’s own newly-crowned IBF World Featherweight Boxing Champion Josh Warrington will be switching this year’s lights on in Victoria Gardens on Thursday 8th November, ably supported by ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ finalist Micky P Kerr on the night.
You won’t be able to miss Ison Harrison over the next few weeks as we will be featured extensively on Radio Aire, Radio Aire 2, Viking and Hallam FM with special festive jingles. In addition to this exclusive airtime we will be featured on the respective websites too, along with digital messaging through Radio Aire’s trending social media streams.
Our branding will be featured at the big Christmas Lights switch-on on 8th November in central Leeds, where our messages will be beamed onto big digital screens and street teams will be wearing branded hoodies.
We will also be featured as the official sponsors at the big Christmas Lights switch-on in Crossgates (9th November), Chapel Allerton (15th November) and Armley (17th November).
Christkindelmarkt – Friday 9th November
The annual Christkindelmarkt opens once again on 9th November, is free-to-enter and is open every day in the run-up to Christmas. We will have the Ison Harrison name on Carl Spencer’s DJ Box, a popular mobile station at the market.
Large digital screens will also be on view throughout the residency of the annual German Market, which has become a staple part of Christmas in Leeds, as families flock to the centre for authentic Bavarian food, music, gifts, crafts, dancing, beer and mulled wine.

Ison Harrison is making this investment in high profile sponsorship as a way of rounding off its year of 40th anniversary celebrations. We felt it was a great way to invest in the city that we still call home and to show that we take a great deal of pride in the people of the city.
