In celebration of their 25th Anniversary the Erb’s Palsy Group had a picnic in the park on Sunday 19th August. They decided to have a picnic as they wanted to refocus on the original remit of their family events which was to provide an opportunity for families to meet, socialise, share experiences and forge friendships.

This was no ordinary picnic however, the field was lined with activities to keep the children entertained. We sponsored a face painter, and we were thrilled to see lots of little faces decorated with everything from unicorns and butterflies to batman!

James Thompson, Anne Robertson and Katrina Stapleton from our Clinical Negligence department attended the picnic with their families and enjoyed everything the day had to offer. They rode a train, and giant swan pedalos, petted a selection of farm animals, played mini golf, met Herbie, conquered the climbing wall and enjoyed the drum workshop which was also sponsored by Ison Harrison.

At 3pm everyone gathered in the main marquee to cut the cake and celebrate everything the charity has achieved over the past 25 years. The day was a huge success, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and even the British weather held out.

The team would like to thank the Erb’s Palsy Group for letting them be a part of their celebration, the children had so much fun and didn’t want to leave when the day came to an end.
