Simon is a Partner within the firm’s Personal Injury team and has been at Ison Harrison for over 26 years and has experience in all personal injury claims including Military claims, Professional negligence;  Human Rights Act claims following Inquests , Clinical negligence;  General litigation; and even defending personal injury claims.

He welcomes any personal injury claim large or small and has a real mixed bag of claims ranging from low value claims to multi million pound claims.

He particularly enjoys dealing with accidents at work. Nobody goes to work to get injured and it gives him great satisfaction when he wins cases that insurers very often try to wriggle out of.

The most interesting part of his work is spotting something in a case that others may not. He is quite thorough and analytical and loves pulling a rabbit out of a hat and turning the case into something it possibly isn’t.

Simon likes to give the personal touch and his attention to detail is exceptional. He has the ability to quickly identify the core issues of a case; apply the law; identify what evidence is required to prove the key issues of a case; he is not afraid to speculate and his negotiating skills are second to none.

He has lost count of the times he has taken over cases where clients have been dis-satisfied with their former Solicitors with complaints such as “they never call me back and we wait weeks/months for a reply”.

The last thing any client wants is their case to be dealt with by an inexperienced and junior fee earner who is juggling a case load in the hundreds. In the personal injury department we all have manageable caseloads. By doing this we can focus entirely on each individual case; be pro-active rather than reactive; be aggressive when needed and never take our eye of the ball.

In his spare time Simon likes to watch Leeds United and attend as much live music as possible. He is married and the proud father of two grown up girls who have caught the live music bug.
