Interviews Under Caution
In any investigation where it is suspected that a criminal offence may have been committed, the HSE will request an interview under caution.
In some cases the interview will be conducted voluntarily at a time to suit all parties. However, in more serious cases, for example those involving a death in the workplace, there may be arrests. In any event, the interview will be conducted under caution and will be recorded to be used in evidence.
It is essential in any interview being conducted under caution to be represented by an experienced lawyer who knows the procedure, the law and your rights.
